CABI Ecostacking Series

The Society for Protection of Endangered Insects is one of the founding bodies of the book series CABI Ecostacking Series (via the Society’s President, Prof. Dr. Ingeborg Menzler-Hokkanen). Link to the series:

The Society is actively contributing to the publication of scientific books in the CABI Ecostacking Series. The first book in the series was published in April 2024, with Prof. Dr. Menzler-Hokkanen being one of the book editors. Book title: ”The Concept of Ecostacking – Techniques and Applications”. The third volume in the book series will be published in 2026 with the title ”Trap Cropping”. The book editors are Prof. Dr. Heikki Hokkanen and Prof. Dr. Ingeborg Menzler-Hokkanen. No previous books addressing trap cropping have been published – this will be the first one to focus on trap cropping. The comprehensive coverage includes a total of 43 chapters on (i) Theoretical basis and principles of successful trap cropping; (ii) Plant trait manipulation useful for trap cropping¸(iii) Enhancing trap cropping with chemical ecology applications; (iv) Multifunctional trap cropping; (v) Application of trap cropping in field crops, in orchards, in berry cultivation, and in vegetable crops; (vi) Future perspectives of trap cropping.
